17th Oct 2022 – V Warwickshire – 730pm KO

This was the first game of the season for a completely new squad, with only 5 players remaining from last season.

The girls haven’t had any opportunity to train they have gone straight from trails to their first match due to the tight schedule of fixtures in this season competition.

We started the game well, playing some good passing football with chances going wide, over the bar or being saved.

The two teams battled well, competing for every ball, and giving their all. Our hard work and pressing paid off on the 27th minute where a wonder strike from Alisha APPLEBY hit the back of the net.

We went into the second half with a positive start, it was an end - to -end kind of game, both teams competing and playing some nice football at times.

In the last part of the second half, we sadly conceded 3 goals.

However, considering the girls have never played together and they didn’t know each other’s names, they played some very positive football.

Well done ladies, looking forward to our next game home to Worcestershire on 7th Nov – 730ko
